Can I use my DSL/Cable internet access with my Wellcore System?
Yes, although internet access is NOT needed to use the Wellcore system, it can enhance your experience. The Wellcore system works with both DSL and Cable internet solutions. With DSL systems, a DSL filter must be installed between the Base Unit and the wall jack. Internet access allows the system to send your activity data to Wellcore more frequently so that you can view your activity data on the website with little delay. Your data will be delivered every 20 minutes by Ethernet vs. every 120 minutes by phone. Please note, however, that you still need to also have the system connected to your existing phone line in order to communicate with the Emergency Call Center.
