Can I use my euros in any country that has opted to use the new currency?
Yes. This means, for example, that French euros are valid in Italy or any of the nations abandoning their old notes and coins. They will be worth the same wherever you use them. What denominations will euro coins and notes come in and what will they look like? The euro is a decimal currency – each euro has 100 cents. There are eight new coin denominations. The highest value are the 1 and 2 euro coins, which are silver and gold-coloured. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins are bronze coloured and the 10, 20 and 50 cent coins are gold-coloured.
