Can I use regularly the same PUR water filter dispenser for several years, has not yet expired?
I have PUR water dispenser and only use it when I run out of bottled water. I live in an area that uses well water and the quality is poor. The filter is the same for three years. I’ve never changed b / c the replacement indicator says it’s still good. However, today I have an upset stomach after drinking the water from the reservoir yesterday. Three years is a long time and the bacteria may have formed on the filter or the water is so bad that the filter can not filter everything, including bacteria that can be in the water well. If you suspect this – you need to have your water. Pull the filter and stick to bottled water until you know for sure.
