Yes, for most applications. Low dielectric/non-conductive processes that leave a reasonable amount of coating on the probe do not significantly affect the measurement and do not require anti-coating circuitry. With high dielectric/conductive processes, however, you must select an appropriate probe and instrument that has anti-coating capability. Also, there is a limit to the amount and type of coating that can be ignored periodic cleaning may be necessary. In some cases, a non-contact technology may be required. In addition, some conductive coatings may be barely visible such as caustic solutions which require an anti-coating probe/instrument. If in doubt, consult one of our representatives.
