NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DONT DO IT take half a pint boiling water, and add half a teaspoon of rock salt, and let dissolve ALLOW TO COOL, and bathe your piercing with that, 3-4 times daily, that will clear it up and soothe it quickly pat dry, and dont forget to wash your hands with antibacterial soap 1st make your soloution up in the morning and cover and keep in the fridge for 24 hrs, then make fresh and when you are in the shower, do not let shampoo or shower gel go near your piercing till its healed

When I had my navel pierced my piercer told me to use diluted TCP to clean it but it got infected and my GP told me to use a hot salt water solution and Savalon spray (not cream!). TCP made it quite sore as it was too harsh.

You probably can, but I would dilute it first (on part tcp to two parts water) also go see your gp you may have an infection, I would also put the original piercing stud/ring back in for the time being.
