Can I use the artista “pigtail” bobbin with my Bernina 1630 when I do decorative stitches?
The Embroidery Bobbin Case is often called a “pig-tail” bobbin case or a gold latch bobbin case because it has a spring thread guide and a gold colored latch. The “Embroidery Bobbin Case bobbin is designed to add more tension to the bobbin thread when doing automatic hooped machine embroidery on the artista 180, 185, 200, and 730. It can also be used for decorative stitching and buttonholes on these artista machines and on the 1630. Like the stitch finger on the other models, threading the “pigtail” increases tension on the bobbin thread, which results in a smoother, prettier stitch on top.
