Can I use the default PCR program to run EpiTect Methyl qPCR Arrays or Assays?
Absolutely not. EpiTect Methyl qPCR Arrays and Assays required a specific PCR cycle in order to obtain reliable DNA methylation analysis. It is because the GC rich nature of the CpG island, thus the Methyl-Profiler qPCR primers. Without the correct PCR cycle, your DNA methylation analysis will fail due to the non-specific amplification during PCR. Do double check the manual for appropriate PCR cycle for Methyl-Profiler DNA methylation analysis.
