The Flexible Carbon Fibre Sheet isn't really right for large, external applications like this for several reasons: • The material itself has a slightly rubbery and textured surface finish, not smooth and hard like a carbon fibre. • The sheets are only available in sizes up to a maximum of 1m x 1m (approx 3’x3’) • The adhesive used on the flexible sheet may not hold it in place around complicated curves and contours indefinitely, particularly in harsh conditions (such as external panels etc. on a car). Covering a boonet/hood, bumper, spoiler, boot/trunk or any reasonably large external vehicle body panel can only really be successfully acheived through a more labour intensive process known as ‘skinning’. We do sell starter kits for doing this and have produced a video tutorial which hopefully explains the process quite clearly. Both the kit and the video can be seen here: Carbon Fibre Skinning Starter Kit Larger jobs will actually require more carbon fabric and resin than are included ...  more
