Can I use the medical card (cashless or deposit less facility) overseas?

Most of the medical cards offered by Malaysian insurance companies are not applicable in overseas. What you can do is settle the medical bill with your own money and then file the claim when you return to Malaysia. The reimbursement is based on the reasonable charges of the same medical treatment in Malaysia. For example, if performing an appendix operation in Kuala Lumpur private hospitals which costs about RM4,000, then the insurance company will only reimburse you RM4,000.
