Yes, except when taking a bath. If the chain is frequently in contact with water or perfumes, over time, it can wear out. You can remove the pendant and resume wearing after bathing or water sports so the chain lasts longer. Please take note that during menstruation female hormones might become over-energized by the pendant during this time.
