Question answered by Dr Mayberry, Consultant Physician and Professor in Gastroenterology There have been a number of reports linking lactose intolerance with sinusitis, and a reduced lactose intake can help some people. However, some people are intolerant to the protein in milk (cows’ milk allergy) which is more likely to be the cause of sinusitis, as opposed to lactose intolerance.
