Can it work alongside Wayfinder?
A. Not at the moment. We are discussing ways around this problem with Wayfinder at the moment. The problem is that the mobile phone hardware can only maintain one Bluetooth connection at a time – presumably to save battery power – so if the Wayfinder program connects to the GPS Receiver, TrafCam would have a problem doing the same thing. Note that this also means the phone cannot connect to any other Bluetooth devices – such as a car kit or headset – at the same time as using a GPS receiver. This isn’t a limitation of TrafCam or WayFinder – it’s just the way that the phone hardware is built. Future phones may relax this limitation.
