Can Italys hate of Gypsies be Justified?
Don’t be so bloody liberal! It usually takes two in any conflict. Admittedly I’m not an expert but in most places they are treated as somewhat different and that is generated by them as well to a certain extent. Here in Egypt, where I’m living now, Gypsies have been present since long before they reached Europe. The difference here perhaps is that they mostly keep to themselves and that suits the government down to the ground. One other thing you need to understand is that, right or wrong, most people in mainland Europe, unlike those in England and America, still have balls and will stand up when they feel that what is right is being abused and to be honest, if people won’t work because they are perhaps badly educated, that is the fault of the education system for not adapting but also the fault of those Roma parents who do not encourage literacy and the value of education. As I said, it’s not a one-way street.
