They tried that in India. But it doesn't seem to work. Everyday we hear of mobile phones and sim cards being recovered from one prison or another. I wasn't aware the problem people smuggling mobile phones into prisons for use by prisoners existed elsewhere in the world. So much for prison security and purpose of prisons in the first place.
