Can Lantana be transplanted?
Have you thought about cutting it back? It is a really strong plant that will grow back quickly, if you kept it trimmed you would not have to worry about it out growing it’s location. You will not kill it doing so! This plant is is one of the toughest in the tropics they say, reaching hieghts of 6-8’. The wife and I while stationed with the Military in Florida found out the hard way about not transplanting from the wild it quickly over took everything in the yard! I don’t know which you have a wild or one of the hybrids which are easier to control and transplant, I can tell you one thing if you don’t get all of the root (the wild Lantana) it will come back also from what is left. Then you will have it in two locations! I suggest trimming back as far as you need to, keep it trimmed and in check, you will be just as happy by doing so! If this is a hybrid and you transplant I suggest being carefull around the main roots the smaller ones will grow back. I don’t recall how large the roots w
