If less than 24 hours have gone by since the food was processed, do one of the following: • Refrigerate the food and use it in the next day or two. • Freeze the food. Drain vegetables before freezing. • Reprocess the food. Use the same jars or put in clean hot jars. Use new lids. Process again for the full time. The quality of the twice-processed food will be poor. If it has been more than 24 hours, the food must be thrown away.
