Can Manifold Read and Write OpenGIS standard data?

0

Yes. All Manifold editions can read/write OGC WKB (“Well-Known Binary”, a spatial data format) stored in any DBMS with binary capability (as required for WKB) that has a standard Windows driver, such as ODBC or OLE DB. In addition, Manifold editions except Personal Edition include Internet Map Server (IMS) technology that allows Manifold IMS to function as an OGC WMS server or as an OGC WMS client and also as an OGC WFS-T server (including transactions, so that a WFS client can be used to edit data through WFS back on the server). Manifold can also read GML as GML is most frequently used. Note that the former “OpenGIS Consortium” apparently has changed names to being the “Open Geospatial Consortium,” but thus still known as OGC.
