Can MAP Grants (Membership Assistance Program) be used to purchase SGA membership cards?

0

A. No. As per the Sask Sport Guidelines, the purpose of the MAP Grant funding is to allocate funds directly to clubs to assist with sport development and to help them increase member participation. Paying a membership fee to the SGA would not qualify as it does not support club or program development. Q. A member club hosts a tournament at their club. All of the players who get a hole-in-one during the tournament are entered into a draw for a new car. During the tournament 5 people score a hole-in-one and all five names are entered into a draw. One lucky person is drawn from the draw drum. Does the winner of the draw lose her/his amateur status? A. Yes. A condition of getting into the draw was making a hole-in-one (golf skill), therefore the prize is based on golf skill and must conform to the rules of golf.
