Can melting Arctic ice cause the Atlantic current to stop and cause a mini-ice age?

In the film the event happened over a very short period of time, whereas in reality it would take longer, but it could happen in as little as 20 years…it is not just the arctic ice but also ice in Siberia and other parts of northern hemisphere which drains into the North Atlantic……would make Northern Britain much like Northern Norway or Moscow…..Thats of course if you believe the Science…and there are many who do not…I do.
