Can mixing dog chow cause allergies in dogs?
Mixing the food probably would not cause allergies, but there may be ingredients in the Pedigree that are not in the Purina which your dogs are allergic to. Many dogs are allergic to wheat and corn. The best products for dogs with food allergies are lamb, rice, duck, or venison. Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice is of the same quality as Purina One, and doens’t cause as many allergies as many other foods. You can probably find it at any pet supply store. There are other brands that are even higher quality, but they may be harder to find and are even more expensive than Purina One. Good luck!
