Can my 7 month old have canned peaches?

Yes (as long as they’re in juice, not syrup). My son has all sorts of canned fruit… we usually puree it to mix in his porridge, but he also eats them as finger foods (nice and soft after been soaked in juice). As for pineapple, my son had a piece of (fresh) pineapple last week… he’s 10 months old and has been feeding himself finger foods since 6 months and it’s the first thing he ever choked on! If you puree it, it would be fine though… but I’m wary of pieces now. ETA: Also, you shouldn’t store things in the can once opened. If you’re saving the contents for later – be sure to pour them into another container. I can’t remember exactly why, but you shouldn’t keep ANYTHING in an open tin can (something to do with chemicals or rust).
