Well, you could go to your local bank and get Swedish currency, but it will cost you with service charges on top of the money, and you risk losing it in the mail. You could Paypal her the money; she would have to open an account to access it but that’s no big deal. With a personal account, there is no fee, and they do use the Swedish croner. She would get an email that she has received the money, and would log on to access it and have it deposited into her bank account or have a check sent. Purchase American Express travelers checks, and fill them out to your friend. I have a friend/customer in England that sends me money sometimes this way. I’ve used AmEx travelers checks in Europe, and they are fairly easy to cash and convert to her currency.
