Can my police caution for Dunk and Disorderly prevent me from being granted a US visa?
You will need to provide them with all the information you can about your arrest including any police records. If there are no longer any police records you will need a letter from the police explaining that the records no longer exist. Do this as well as providing a standard police certificate. I has a minor alcohol related conviction and there were no records of it but I provided letters from the police and the courts to prove this and had no problem getting my visa. I had everything with me on the day of my interview which made things much easier. Since your arrest was relatively recent it may also help if you can include a reference from a clergy person about your good moral character. If you no longer drink this will count in your favour.
