Can NiMH batteries really replace Alkaline batteries in most devices?

Yes. I use NiMH batteries in my Canon digital camera, MP3 player, portable CD players, Sharp Minidisc recorder, walkman tape player, Palm IIIxe, my wife’s Palm m100, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, DVD/VCR/TV remotes (I told you I was a gadget nerd!), R/C (radio control) transmitters and cars, my kids’ toys, and anything else that asks for AA and AAA batteries. I also sell lots of 9-volt batteries and chargers to schools, musicians and audio professionals for wireless microphone and instrument systems, and to paintball enthusiasts (the model 490 charger/battery kit was specifically made for paintball users) AAA also work great for GPS devices.
