Can NOLS support a gluten free, lactose free, food-allergy, vegetarian, vegan or kosher diet?

Oh yeah they can support you and your diet. I have been in the program when I found out I was allergic to gluten. I have been feeling kind of weird and it was hard to figure why. I would have swollen joints, fatigue and I would always be bloated. It was very annoying. I decided to go to the doctor and have myself checked out. The GP i went to didn’t really know what was going on with me but he sent me to a gastroenterologist who said I might be allergic to gluten and sent me to a lab to get checked out. (If you need a good lab you can check the one I used: intolerancelab.co.uk ). After 5 days I found out I was allergic to gluten. I came with that information to the management and they switched me to a gluten free diet.
It’s such a strange story as it seems to be the most affordable service on the market

In most cases, NOLS is able to accommodate any diet you are following. There is space on your NOLS medical form to address dietary restrictions and allergies. It will be important for you to let your Admission Officer know, so that NOLS can be prepared for you when you arrive for your course. It is possible to eat kosher while you are on your NOLS course, however you will be responsible for carrying your own cookware to make this happen. NOLS Rocky Mountain has the most resources to accommodate students. The NOLS Admission Office can help you decide which NOLS course would best fir your specific dietary need or restriction. On a standard NOLS course accomodations for Sabbath can not be guaranteed. However, NOLS Professional Training offers the Kosher Wilderness Leadership Expedition, which is kosher and sabbath observant. For further details click here…
