Can over-the-counter sleeping pills mixed with alcohol be fatal?

If you take the recommended amount, it probably won’t kill you, but I wouldn’t recommend it. There are different types of otc sleeping pills. Some are basically benadryl, but there are other medications that I’m less familiar with. Basically don’t do it. Any time you take medications with alcohol you are being hard on your kidneys and liver. Taking tylenol or other nsaids with alcohol is notoriously bad for your organs. Basically, it’s possible if you take a lot or have a weakened system, but I think the likelihood of death is low. But you could do damage to your system even if you don’t die immediately. Don’t do it.
