you can only spread it if you have never had it, once you have had chicken pox, measles, or mumps and rubella you can never catch it or harbour the disease so if your child has chicken pox or any of the others and you had it as a child you are perfectly safe, that’s why many years ago before uuuurrgh he’s got mumps became a stigma, once a parent found out little johnny had mumps every child in the area was sent round to play so they caught it and it was then out of the way in that child’s development
