Can PDP ask the President to resign like ANC did in South African?
It is the PDP that put Yar’Adua up for the election, if we know that the President cannot cope with the work of the President, nothing stops the PDP from asking him to resign. Because even if he resigns, it is still the PDP that would still be in control of the Central Government. It is not as if it would affect the party because if the President resigns, it is the Vice President that would take over and that is also a PDP member. Where would the party lose if we ask the President to resign. Some politicians think President Thabo Mbeki resigned as a result of pressure from his party but that we in PDP cannot do that. What has our President done? Don’t they know that it was based on corruption that Mbeki was asked by his party to step down from office? It was based on allegation of corruption against the government of former President Mbeki that led to his resignation. Have we leveled any allegation of corruption against our own President?
