can people who have undergone a splenectomy due to beta thalassemia undergo root canal treatment?
Looks like you’ve got a couple things going, there. Severe anemia and huge chance of infection! I’m sure you would want to be well and properly medicated (antibiotics) before hand. I’m guessing you have a physician who follows your case. He/she is the one who should prescribe the medications. I wish you well. My daughter has no spleen, and infection is always a concern. With the additional diagnosis I’m sure there are other concerns. Definitely talk with your doctor about the root canal.
