Can Pervasive SQL 2000 Clients attach to a Pervasive SQL Server?

Yes as long as they are pure Btrieve/transactional clients. Again the ODBC has changed for several pretty good reasons. Q: I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to upgrade the Server without having to do the clients all at the same time. A: You could start with the clients – move them up to the new requester while you are setting up, testing, and migrating data to the new server. Then bring the new server on-line while the old is still available and test. Then cut over to the new server. ODBC issues might give you a couple of problems if you use it extensively, but everything else should be quite easy as it is in almost all cases. We’ll be here to help if there is an exception. My current environment: Novell 4.11 network O/S, running Btrieve 6.15 using DOS Brequester, Windows 95/98 workstations, custom applications developed using Micro Focus Cobol and Magic in a DOS environment. I plan to develop apps for a Windows environment at the client and continue to use Novell as the network
