Can photographs from The Black Star Collection at Ryerson University be borrowed for exhibition purposes?

0

Yes, provided the recipient gallery/museum meets the necessary environmental and security standards set by Canadian Heritage. As the Collection was taken as Canadian Cultural Property, the borrowing institution needs to meet the preservation standards currently in place with regards to security, temperature, relative humidity, and lighting levels. As we are currently in the process of constructing the Ryerson Photography Gallery & Research Centre to meet these museum standards we require the borrowing institution to operate at the same level.
