Can PreMark® be applied on new chip seal?
PreMark® is very compatible with chip seals as it is a thermoplastic which actually fuses with the road surface. In fact, the thermoplastic will flow into the “nooks and crannies”. Prior to application, all the loose aggregate must be worn away by traffic or blown away using compressed air. This is critical as the surface to which PreMark® adheres must be attached to the road itself to work.
