Can Reiki replace standard medical care?

0

No. Reiki is not a replacement for proper medical care. It can however be used in conjunction. There is nothing in this methodology that can conflict with standard medical practices or medications. The practitioner does not massage nor move muscles in any way. It is however useful in relieving stress and can be used prior to treatments or operations to relax the patient. After surgery or other treatments, it can be used to help the body back to its healthy state. Some hospitals actually allow Reiki treatments if the patients want it. It is our hope that this will become more widespread.
