Can SECURITRE parameter changes be made dynamically?
Some parameters can be changed dynamically by modifying their values on-line in the SECURITRE Real-time Monitor. These changes will take effect immediately. The site may also change the parameter values and reload the parameter module via the SECURITRE Real-time Monitor. This will also cause the parameter to be immediately changed, and this change will be in effect even after the database is brought down and back up. A few SECURITRE parameters, particularly those related to the size of the internal table, cannot be changed dynamically. Any parameter that affects the GETMAIN area acquired by SECURITRE when the ADABAS nucleus is brought up cannot be changed dynamically. The site only needs to bring the database down and up to reflect the changed parameters for the parameters that change the GETMAIN area. Dynamic parameter changes do not affect the settings of the SECURITRE parameters that are statically linked to the ADABAS nucleus. As a result, such parameter changes are normally lost w
