Can Shogun outpoint Machida?
I’m just curious what your opinions are on the possibility of Shogun winning a decision against Machida. Can Shogun win on points or does he have to get the ko/tko or sub? Shogun hasn’t really proved he is a cardio machine yet but neither has Machida. Machida has shown he is a slow starter so Shogun could possibly take the first round or 2 with aggressiveness and being more active. Shogun mentioned that he didn’t want to spend too much energy in the Chuck fight trying to take him down. I think he will do the same with Machida and try and keep it on the feet tilll he sees an opening. I’d imagine Machida will find his rhythm by the end of the 2nd round at the latest.
