Can Siberian Huskies get a taste for blood?

0

Dogs don’t get a ‘taste for blood’. They may develop the bad habit of biting, be aggressive, but this idea of once they taste or draw blood that they feel like they are addicted to it is a myth. Getting a ‘taste for blood’ is a figurative expression. It isn’t literal. What DOES happen is that if a dog’s emotions are put under enough pressure and he bites as a result, and the pressure is reduced by the act of biting (meaning it whatever or whoever was frightening him has backed off), then he’ll be more likely to bite again in similar circumstances. We’ve fed our dogs raw meat and bones for years and they don’t have any ‘taste for blood’.
