The whole face is purple? That would be odd. But it is common for the spots under the eyes to turn a purplish color. It has something to do with blood capillaries in that area. When you sleep they are allowed to heal and repair themselves, but for some reason, when you’re awake, they seem to burst. So when you’re awake for a really long time it will be purple. Kinda like a bruise, it’s just burst capillaries leaking some blood. I have no idea why your arms are red and your hands are swollen, I’m sure that it really is due to the lack of sleep but I know that for a fact that lack of sleep can cause “body aches”.
