Can someone explain in simple terms what the issue is between Israel/Palestine/Jordan is all about? ?
In the Bible God led the Jews out of slavery in Egypt to a ‘land flowing with milk and honey’. That is modern day Israel. However, they were invaded and removed from their land at a later time. It was prophesied that this removal wouldn’t be permanent and that they’d return. In 1947, a British mandate over the land expired and it was handed back to the Jews. They started returning in their droves. As the surrounding nations are Muslim, they have a hatred for the Jews and immediately launched attacks to wipe Israel out. Despite Israel being tiny in size and population compared to the surrounding Muslim nations, they have always stood firm and managed to hold onto their land. The Muslims continue to plot to have them wiped off the map however. There is a particular problem over Jerusalem which is a holy city in the Bible and was where the Jews built their Temple. However the Muslims have gone and built a giant mosque on top of where it once stood. That’s called the Dome of the Rock. Musl
