Basically, you will have 4 wires going into your amp to get the signal, power, tell it when to turn on and to earth it. Then you will have wires going out from your amp to power your sub / speakers. From the battery you will have a power cable (gauge depends on the voltage you will be taking through it) within this power cable you will need to install an in line fuse to prevent damage to your amp in the event of any power surge. You will then have a very small remote cable running from your head unit to the amp, this wire will carry a simple on / off signal to say when you want the amp to power up or shut down – Means only required power when your head unit is on. With your head unit you will need to have at least 1 set of pre-outs which you will you run your RCA leads from to your amp – this is what sends the music signal through. You will then need an earth on the amp to ground it, this is usually connected to a tail light housing bolt or anywhere close where you can get a good conne
