If your TV does 1080 and it gets a 480 signal, and it displays it fullscreen, then the TV has already upscaled the signal by definition. Unless you mean it displays in a small square in the middle of the screen? If you’re getting a fullscreen display on the TV, it’s upscaled. End of story. The only question is the QUALITY of the upscaling. And there’s no reason to expect that the PS3 will do a better job of this than the TV so I don’t see what all the complaining is about. Enlighten me.
