Can someone help my dog stop messing in my house?

Well one thing to try is to praise him when he does the right thing, namely mess outside. It’s not a good idea to hit him when he does it wrong. He won’t understand at all why you are hitting him if you do it well after the mess is already there. And if you hit him while he is “in the act” he’ll probably guess that you don’t want to see him messing at all, which will make it that much harder to get him to go when you are outside. It won’t get better overnight, you will need patience, it can take weeks, but it can be done.

Hitting the dog or hitting the ground will NOT do anything in helping house train your dog. Try crate training your puppy, as your dog is still a puppy… he needs to be put on a scehdule if not already on it so that way he can learn. Crate training him by starting with a couple of hours at night then slowly work your way up on hours. Please do not exceed 6 hours in that crate. The dog seems to not understand he needs to do his business outside and when you scold him after he did his business this is negative reenforcement and does the puppy no good. He does not understand why you are hitting him, which in a bad behavior on your part. Also buy nature’s miracle to help get the order and smell out of carpets etc…once the dog has done his business, the smell is in that area and he will think it is ok to continue to go. If your dog is house broken and suddenly has started this, then it is time to go see a vet.

Firstly it takes months to house train your pet. secondly the main times dogs need to go its after meals, play and sleep. As soon as your dog finishes eating, just wakes up or you stop playing with him take him outside for the loo. Dogs should be walked at least two 2 three times a day so regular exersice will encourange them to empty their bladder/bowel. Also encourage them to do their business when out by praising them when they do. And if you do not catch them peeing in the house and just find a mess on the floor NEVER give them in to trouble it will encourage them to hide it from you and dnt forget giving your dog into trouble is still a form of praise as all verbal communication no matter good or bad is great for your dog as ou are still talking to him. try ignoring him when he does his mess and never clean it up infront of him as it will encourag him to pee in the same spot.

You will have to start all over with house training your dog. Put him in a room and and cover the floor with newspaper so when he does go to the toilet it will be on the paper. Gradually remove the paper so a smaller space is covered – your dog will soon learn that is the place to do it. As you dog learns and he gets better at using the paper just leave one sheet by the door This is good at night but you can”t keep your dog locked up all day so i would suggest you let him out every half and hour, when he goes give him loads of praise don’t ever hit your dog he just wont understand what he is doing wrong. Your dog needs a long walk at least twice a day so again he can do his business then Good luck he will soon learn.
