I actually did a trip from Anaheim, CA to Ft. Gordon, GA. Which took 54 hours. You really DO NOT want to do this. There is NO sight seeing, unless you just want to stare out of the bus windows. The bus only stops at designated bus checkpoints, and usually you just have enough time to get out, use the bathroom, and head back to the bus. Sometimes there are “layovers” and the bus driver will let you off for a longer time, but it’s not extensive. There is usually a bathroom on the bus, but in all honesty, I waited until we came to a stop each time and used the local facilities. The bus ride is uncomfortable. Try sitting in a regular chair for 4 hours and see how comfortable that is. Also, if there are not enough empty seats, you will be squished against another person for the length of your time on the bus. At night, the bus gets extremely cold even in the summer, so make sure you pack a blanket and a small travel pillow. I would suggest looking into an airline package that you have to pu
