Can spray Broad leaf weeds and kill them in August just as easily as in April or May?
The more you get into the subject, the more complicated it can seem, so I’ll just try a simpler approach: If you have weeds coming up, its easier to kill them when they are young, anytime. Don’t try to kill weeds and start new grass at the same time. If you use the most common broadleaf killer, 2,4 D (liquid or in a “Weed and Feed” bag), don’t apply it when the temperature is about 90(F) or above, which can brown the yard. Your local county extension service, nursery, or garden centers can advise you on best time of application in your area.
