Can Supply chain management deliver growth?
A Fulbright scholar will give a talk on “Supply Chair Management, Profitability and Regional Economic Growth” on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Kehr Union, Multipurpose Room A. The talk will be given by Ik-Whan Kwon, professor of decision sciences and director of the Consortium for Supply Chain Management at Saint Louis University. Reservations are required for the talk and may be made by contacting Sharon Coombe in the College of Business. Kwon’s presentation will focus on areas where profitability for a firm and potential economic growth for the region can be enhanced through supply chain management. The discussion will demonstrate how the use of supply chain principles is just as effective for small and medium size companies as it is for large corporations. He will also show how the application of supply chain principles is a vehicle for potential economic growth in a region.
