“All SAE 40 Oils” is a very broad category. SynLube Lube-4-Life can be used in engines that call for a SAE 40 straight grade or multi-viscosity grade oil meeting API CI-4, CH-4, CG-4, CF-4, CF-2, CF, or CE quality levels. SynLube Lube-4-Life can be used in diesel engines calling for Mack EO-1, EO-L+, or EO-M. SynLube Lube-4-Life can also be used in all gasoline engines that call for an API SL, SJ, SH, SG, or SF quality oil. That covers a lot of engines. SynLube Lube-4-Life is NOT the primary recommendation for Detroit Diesel two-stroke-cycle engines (Series 53, 71, 92, 149) which require an SAE 40 monograde engine oil.
