Can taxpayers be trusted to willingly fund basic and necessary governmental services?

Absolutely! Taxpayers are and should be the bottom line in deciding what services are needed and what services they wish to fund. The wonder of a democracy is that it allows those paying for government services to decide what services they wish to have and fund and what it is they don’t wish to have or fund. Unfortunately, today special interests are making those decisions, and those paying the bill are left out of those decisions. This measure will return that decision making power to those paying the bill – we the taxpayers.
