Can the analysis and characterization information in CAMEO be used as a standard?

0

While the analytical information in CAMEO may not meet the stringent requirements necessary to be a standard, it is assumed accurate and is provided for use as a reference resource. The technical information on the Full Material Record sheet, such as boiling point, hardness, solubility, autofluorescence, burn tests, microstructure, etc. has been obtained from published sources. The analysis images (charts, micrographs, spectra, chromatograms, etc.) were obtained from varying sources, both within the MFA as well as from other labs, and thus each may have been obtained under different conditions. CAMEO provides the user with the specific parameters used in the analysis (see notation field). The user can compare the conditions used for any image to their own methods of analysis.
