Yes and no , DN545 or DN733 can be negative or positive within a payers accounting framework, but not from a technical reporting stand point. One possible accounting scenario is for DN545 to have a negative accounting value for the payer when DN543 = PI and DN544 = 94. Another possible analogous accounting scenario at the line level is for DN733 to have a negative accounting value for the payer when DN731 = PI and DN732 = 94. Neither of these would be technically reported a negative absolute value in the ANSI 837.
