Can the footing and foundation or basement be run before moving?

The footing can be poured before moving, but it can be cracked by the heavy weight of the building if not properly bridged over. We prefer that it be poured after the move. Foundation work cannot be started until the building is spotted on the new location and leveled. A basement should only have a preliminary hole dug. Our one main steel and cross steel are left under the building until after the foundation is run. Then, if it is a frame building we lower it about three inches onto the new foundation or basement. We level a brick or block building after it is spotted on the new location and the foundation is run up to the existing walls. Basements can be treated the same way: the walls are poured after the building is in place and spotted when close to being finished. When the steel is lowered, the building remains in place.
