– Yes, the GM-20 will easily spray oil based enamels, you will need to use a smaller tip and change the filter in the gun to a finer filter. Oil based enamel is easier to spray than water based acrylic, it just requires a smaller tip to reduce the flow of the paint, other wise you will get runs in the finish 3) Can the GM-20E spray a roof? – This is the most common question, so please read carefully. If you wish to spray a roofing type of membrane then the answer is no, this type of coating is very thick and the GM-20 is simply too small for such thick paints, we would suggest to purchase a larger machine such as the Atomex GM-60E.
